← Media Nest
Documentation
1. Install & activate
- Install Media Nest (free) from Plugins → Add New or by uploading the folder to
/wp-content/plugins/, then activate.
- Open Media Nest in the admin menu — nothing else to configure. Folders, tags and the manager page are ready.
2. Organize your library
- Folders: create them in the left tree (+ button) or as tiles in the center panel. Use
/ in a name to nest (e.g. Videos/ASMR).
- Colors & pins: 🎨 sets a color, ★ pins a folder to the top of the tree.
- Drag & drop: drag media onto folders (or folder tiles) to move; drag desktop files onto the page to upload into the folder you're viewing.
- Batch tools: select (box-select, Ctrl-click, or "select all matching"), then move/tag/edit/delete. Everything is undoable from Activity log.
- Usage scan: the "Scan usage" button marks which media are referenced by your posts; filter by In use / Unused / Not scanned.
- Auto-assign: rules that file uploads into folders by filename, extension, type or year — always dry-run first.
3. Activate Pro
- Buy a license (email delivery — the key arrives in your inbox).
- Install the Media Nest Pro add-on and open Settings → Media Nest Pro.
- Paste the key, click Activate. Pro features unlock immediately; updates arrive through the normal WordPress updater.
4. Switching from another folder plugin
With Pro: open Folders → From plugins, pick your old plugin (FileBird, Real Media Library, HappyFiles, Folders by Premio, Wicked Folders, Enhanced Media Library) and click Import. Your old plugin's data is never modified; importing twice duplicates nothing.
5. Support
Email support@plugnest.dev with your license key — we answer within one business day (48h on weekends).
